The Shasta County Registrar of Voters issued a warning Monday of potential voter intimidation ahead of the November election.

Employees of the County Election Department will not come to your home and question you. People who perform this kind of activity are violating the law and intimidating voters.. . . If this happens to you, you can report it to the Registrar of Voters at (530) 225-5730 or to local law enforcement. .
..but you CAN have your front door smashed in if you are a Trump supporter.
Notice the penal code of the offense is not listed.

I also wonder if what is happening ..

is someone doing a canvas of voters to see if the registered voters actually lives at the addeess on the voter roll,

.or if the address is actually a empty lot ,
.
..or even a valid address at all,
..
or if the person who is listed as having voted in the last election actually voted ...
.
or had their vote fraudulently cast for them without their knowledge.
IOW
A canvass of the LAST election ..
..having nothing to do with ANY future election and not actually voter intimidation at all.

Shasta County is about 2/3 Republican. That would be a LOT of doors.
If you vote the wrong way on that Tuesday, don't expect to be home for supper that evening.
1/3 amounts to a lot of potential whack jobs.
I would advise that the closer we get to the election, the more people need to pay attention to who is around them and be on the lookout for rogue commie RATS with a mug full of their world famous hatred.
So if a political activist group of any stripe wants to get people to register to vote, they can’t call them and ask if they are already registered? If the answer is no, they could ask, can we help you get registered? This does not sound like big time crime.
Who exactly is “intimidated” by being asked if they are registered to vote? Saying none of your business or hanging up takes too much courage?
what law? how many people have been asked if they are registered voters in store parking lots and if registered asked to sign a petition?
