Minnesota Republicans are either ahead of, or in virtual ties with, their Democrat opponents in statewide races as Minnesotans want their public officials to crack down on crime, according to a poll released Tuesday.

Minnesota Republican gubernatorial candidate Scott Jensen is in a virtual tie with Gov. Tim Walz (D), according to the poll.

Too bad polls don’t matter. Ask Dominion. They’ll tell you who is going to win in November.

I remember when the GOP last took MN.
My insiders told me for 4 years they sat there doing nothing afraid they were going to loose re-election.
Reminds me of AZ, TX, FL Before Ron, ID, WY, UT, WI.
FL and AZ are now going a new way.

‘’ In the Trafalgar Group/Alpha News poll released Tuesday Walz leads Jensen 47.7 to 45 percent; however, the poll’s 2.9 percent margin of error makes this race for the Minnesota governor’s mansion a virtual tie.

The survey contrasts with a late August/early September KSTP/Survey USA poll, which found that Jensen trailed Walz by 18 points.’’

Those late August polls were something, almost a narrative.

The only thing i will closely watch is democrat turnout. If large numbers of democrats support the direction we are headed, then it really doesn’t matter who we run and that has serious consequences

64% in 2020, so it won’t be easy to knock her out, IMHO.

Former Minnesota Viking, Matt Birk is running as Dr. Jensen’s Lieutenant Governor. He’s a pretty popular guy, and a very intelligent one, as well.
Hope they can win on election night!

Remember 1994? Every race was portrayed as close with Democrats having slight leads. NPR ran stories saying “Democrats say..Democrats say...”

Romney had to tank his candidacy in the final Massachusetts senate debate, saying he was more in favor of abortion and gays than Kennedy was. They let him be governor, senator from somewhere else, and a crappy presidential nominee in gratitude. Democrats lost everything that year but Teddy’s race.

They passed a couple of gun bills and had used Perot to gain power in 1992, so his people were ticked. But Clinton was nothing like what’s happening now.

But will they vote for Republicans? That is the answer? Do they think Mike Lindal’s FBI raid was overreach (Or do they think the FBI rail Mike to get some Pillows, Sheets and Coffee?). I hope MN and IL flip...Of course, MinnesotaStan might re-elect Omar again...

Birk is a graduate of Cretin-Derham Hall HS in St. Paul. That Catholic HS brings impressive political and financial support in Minnesota. They aren’t Jesuit-types.

Polls are worthless. No Republican is going to answer a poll honestly.

Always been the case. it’s actually French, related to ‘Christian’ or being a human being as opposed to a brute.
