The White House on Thursday said it had purchased 100 million rapid at-home COVID-19 tests with its “limited funding,” as the administration continues to call on Congress to pass more pandemic funds.
The Biden administration said in a press release that the 100 million domestically manufactured tests would be directed into the Strategic National Stockpile. White House officials had no further comment on the tests when reached by The Hill.

Since it takes time for test manufacturers to perform stability testing, the FDA typically authorizes at-home COVID-19 tests with a shelf-life of about four to six months from the day the test was manufactured, based on initial study results, and it may be extended later as additional data is collected.

A local parade for Memorial Day had a float with riders throwing home covid tests to parade goers. No one wanted them, they spoiled on the ground and got swept up with the trash. Taxpayers funded that.

Who exactly is the benefactor of this largesse? My guess is that it is someone connected as a large Dem donor.

Obviously, the funding is not limited enough. 100 million at home tests seems like a lot for the White House to buy. How many people actually call it home? Joke and Jill are elsewhere 40% of the time. Seems like the White House would be stocking up on pudding cups and Depends, if anything.
If one has to run a test to determine one is ill, then one is not ill.
