I had an interesting thought, namely, that for so long science has disclosed the phenomena that take place beneath the surface of what our senses perceive that we no longer trust what our senses tell us. So perhaps science itself is responsible for the insanity that the modern world has become.

You don’t need a Nobel prize to simply take a peek in your shorts to figure out which of the only two genders you belong to. I do understand there is a one-in-a-few-thousand chance of a birth defect that might make this simple test ambiguous but the rarity of that event suggests this might not be sufficient reason to reorder all of society.
