When my parents where going through school they taught civics. Which used to teach kids that it was their duty as a citizen to join your local precinct committee. They're the ones that pick our representatives we vote for.
Today they don't teach what our duty is as a citizen. As a result 50% of the precinct seats our empty in the republican party the rest are split between infiltrators and conservatives/classic liberals.
The BEST people to join these precincts in my opinion are those that love to look into issues and prospective representatives. My parents called it a duty. So should we
