Despite claims that the FBI was attempting to retrieve classified documents from Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home, agents also seized boxes of records covered by attorney-client privilege and possibly executive privilege during its unprecedented raid, according to a new report.
Sources familiar with the investigation told Fox News that in addition to their seizure of potentially privileged records, the Department of Justice denied a request from Trump’s lawyers for an independent special master to review the records.
Sources told Fox News that Trump’s team was informed that boxes labeled A-14, A-26, A-43, A-13, and A-33 as well as a set of documents, all of which were itemized on the FBI’s property receipt, contained information covered by attorney-client privilege and that some records could be covered by executive privilege.
And we’re supposed to believe this wasn’t a fishing expedition?
Why does this matter? Because Trump has repeatedly asserted executive privilege in the Democrats’ January 6th witchhunt investigation. Now, as a result of the FBI’s raid, the FBI has documents covered by attorney-client privilege and possibly executive privilege in their possession. That’s rather convenient, isn’t it?
Many have suggested the Department of Justice wasn’t really after classified documents at all. Trump insists the documents had already been declassified, and the DOJ already knew which documents were in the secured storage and had requested an additional lock be added to the door. “They could have had it anytime they wanted—and that includes LONG ago. ALL THEY HAD TO DO WAS ASK,” Trump said in a statement.
The revelation that the FBI took boxes of privileged documents supports the theory that the raid was a pretext for the FBI to get into the house in search of other information.

Ruling is a lot easier than governing.
The corrupt DOJ did not deny the request. They filed an opposition to a motion submitted by Trump's attorneys. A corrupt judge has to decide the motion. There is a fair and impartial corrupt legal process at work here.
Isn’t it usually a judge that appoints an independent special master?
His lawyer needs to get to the media and tell everybody about how the DOJ is not following proper legal procedure.
I say ‘media’, then I remember how 95% of that media is Anti-Trump and will refuse to have her on the air.

Inclined to subscribe to Robert Barnes’ theory that it was not a fishing expectation but a desperate attempt to find and destroy evidence of deep state misconduct they feared Trump had.
Yup, and it would be a shame if they FBI accidentally read, copied, and distributed any sensitive attorney client privileged documents during the time between when they stol.. I mean seized the documents and the judge let them know they aren't supposed to see or read those documents. But they IG has determined in advance that any such instances are purely accidental an non-intentional and if they are ever proved otherwise than in accordance with official FBI policy it was a just a single low level flunky who will get a bad note inserted into his permanent record and have to get some training so it's all good.

The whole point was to change the subject. Heard much on Hunter Biden, border invasion, Afghanistan, Ukraine, Covid, hyperinflation, crime, etc., which Americans have stated as their priorities? Biden has managed to pull the DOJ (Department of Jerkoffs) out of its scabbard and focus on Trump selling secrets (nuclear) without even acknowledging what they are looking for.

They took four years of records, definitely a fishing expedition. Worse yet , when they put cuffs on him, and they will, he will be tried in federal court DC, the most biased in the nation. One can only imagine what happens next and it won’t be nice.
