When did we invade Europe? What did we keep?

We invaded Mexico in 1846 and annexed the entire northern half of that country at the conclusion of that war.

It was no more Mexico’s than it was ours.

Mexico wasn’t even a nation until 1812 or so. Spain transferred
ownership of that land to the wet behind the ears Mexico
around 1820, and didn’t give a though to the Native
American’s whose land it actually was.
