“ Electric cars are more of a status symbol then a practical way to get around.”
Owner of a 1 year old Ford Mach e here. That car is a great commuter vehicle. My daily drive is normally 50 miles or less, and that is 90% plus of my total driving. My EV is inexpensive to operate, even before $5 gasoline, and it is keeping my gasoline vehicles operational for a far longer time.
Short drives are the hardest on ICE vehicles. Sometimes you need a hammer, sometimes you need a screwdriver. Different tools for different jobs.
BTW, I just had my 10,000 mile service done. Tire rotation and State Inspection were the only things needed; not even an emissions sticker.
That’s great, are you saving up for that $14,000 battery change?
