How deluded are RINO Republicans? Let’s check in with Rep. Tom Rice (RINO-SC). In an interview with ABC’s Jonathan Karl, Rice appears to be reluctant about the idea of having Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) as Speaker of the House, should the Republicans–as expected–take over the House after the November midterms. But guess who he thinks would be a “great speaker”? This is funny.
Rice, who was one of the few Republicans who voted to impeach President Donald Trump, claims Rep. Liz Cheney would be a good choice, “She’s a real Republican. I think she is very conservative and I think she’s a fearless leader.”
That’s delusional, and shows how far gone these folks are. First of all, Cheney has thrown in with the Democrats on the compromised Jan. 6 Committee. So, she’s one of the most unpopular RINOs out there. Not just because of her take on Trump, but because she’s attacking Republicans and helping the Democrats. On top of that, she hasn’t even made any attempt at all to reach out to the locals in Wyoming, not caring a whit what they think of her and treating them like their opinion doesn’t matter.
That tends not to go over well. She’s 30 points behind her opponent, Trump-endorsed Harriet Hageman for the August primary so she’s about to lose spectacularly. Finally, having kicked her to the curb and booted her from any leadership position previously, there is no way Republicans would vote for her for Speaker after they take back the House.

The media can't help themselves. It's comical. It's like the old days when John McCain was on one of these shows (or several) EVERY week.
It's not going to work. They wanted to make Liz Cheney Speaker of the House (they put her into leadership after just one term).
But instead, after August, she'll be a lame duck and out on the street come January.
Can't wait!

It is amazing how deluded and anti-conservative these people are. McCain was a classic example of them. They lie and and are inherently stupid, with very poor reasoning abilities and an inability to discern right from wrong.
We need these people out of office.
Now, I also think Trump could do better on aspects of this, but he also has to work with what he has available, and we, as voters, gave him little help (unless you think people like Lindsay Graham, John McCain, and Adam Kinzinger are great people).

One uncorroborated poll is not something to bet the farm on. Cheney damn well SHOULD lose and certainly deserves to lose, but:
- Polls we like and fervently wish to be true should be treated with exactly the same amount of skepticism as ones we don’t like and fervently wish to be false.
- There’s *supposedly* not enough Democrats in Wyoming to cross over and make any real difference in the Republican primary. True Republicans are supposed to outnumber even Democrats + RINOs. We’ll see.

Time to repeal the 17th Amendment.
If I were a weasley Dem, I would vote to put Cheney as the R candidate. That would ensure a D in that office.
