External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Friday (3 June) asked European nations to come out of the mindset that European problems are world's problems but world's problems are not Europe's problems.
Speaking at Globesec 22 Bratislava Forum in Slovakia, Jaishankar also slammed the linkages being made between the situation in Ukraine and tension between India and China.
"Somewhere Europe has to grow out of the mindset that Europe's problems are the world problems and world's problems are not Europe's problems," he said.
"There's a linkage today being made between China and India, and what's happening in Ukraine. China and India happened way before anything happened in Ukraine," the minister added.
Responding to a question on which side India will be on in a future bipolar world led by US and China, Jaishankar said, "This is the construct you are trying to impose on me, and I don't accept it. I don't think its necessary for me to join this axis or not and if I am not joining this I must be with other, I don't accept that," he said.
Jaishankar added that India has one-fifth population of the world and is the fifth or sixth largest global economy.
"I think I am entitle to have my own side, I am entitled to weigh my own interest, make my own choices, and my choices will not be cynical and transactional. But they will be a balance of my values and my interest," the minister said, adding that there is no country in the world which disregards its interests.
Ouch
Europe’s problems are not America’s problems either.
The world would be a vastly better place today had we not sent doughboys to die for Europe in 1917.
The purpose of the WEF reset is to reduce all the western countries to 2nd world status while raising the third world nations to 2nd world status. So it’s necessary to beggar Europe and the US to pay for the improvements to the 3rd world countires.
Europe’s problems are not America’s problems either.
The world would be a vastly better place today had we not sent doughboys to die for Europe in 1917.
Add the seriously wounded and injured vets like my father returning and dealing with severe post injury problems and minimal help from the VA for the rest of his/their lives.
We see that with Nam vets with PTSD or exposure to Agent Orange and only God knows what else.
Vets, who served in one of our useless/undeclared wars in the Middle East have to deal with PTSD and other issues with minimal if any help.
Somehow, Brandon and our worthless congressits can find billions of $’s to make sure their beloved illegals are taken care of.
Or in 1944.
Two generations of my family damn near lost their lives for the Europeans.
In 1918 and 1944.
And for what?
So you are saying we would of been better off if we let Hitler run lose over Europe? And then what would we have done when he started coming after us? Maybe we should of let the Communists take over? I don’t think so.
