St Louis has been an unsafe shithole for decades.
This is NOT an improvement.
It wasn’t supposed to help Americans. It was meant to hurt them.

So true. IMO it’s the greatest lie of the left.
Diversity IS a good thing in moderation. Such as Italians and French and English (even Japanese etc), it works because they all shared the same basic tenets of western civilization (which the Japanese adopted) like values of personal freedom, some form of Christianity, capitalism, nuclear family, rule by law.
Self hating leftists (it takes a village not a family etc etc) take this a step further and say “all diversity is good and the more radically different therefore even better”.
So we get more immigrants who are 3rd world Marxists with no concept of representative government or sense of western ethics. Our melting pot will/is become a poor quality dump salad with no cohesion or merit.
Look at Sweden for a prime example.

For the most part they are very, very nice and appreciative.
On the other hand, 50% of all rapes in Austria are committed by Afghans.
The fact that many sent here weren’t vetted is beyond irresponsible and stupid.

For those who don’t know, St Louis has some perfectly nice neighborhoods, not all that far from very dangerous ones. People who live there can live very normal lives as long as they don’t find themselves in the wrong areas. But a stranger, like the Griswalds, can be in a scary place just minutes away from safety. If you’ve ever gotten lost going to a Cardinals game, you’ll know what I mean.
