Mitt had five draft deferments during VN - three as a missionary in France, one for marriage, one for being a student. None of his five sons served in any capacity. For him to cast shade of treason upon Tulsi Gabbard is beyond disgusting.

Among Romney’s close associates has been Cofer Black. In 2019 it was reported:
“Senator Mitt Romney may have a connection to Joe Biden’s alleged corruption scandal in Ukraine. According to a report released on Thursday, Romney’s top aide in the 2012 presidential campaign, J. Cofer Black, has served on the board of Ukrainian energy company Burisma Holdings since 2017.”
It is important to understand just who Cofer Black represents. He was career CIA. He was also an inept head of station who monumentally screwed-up and caused a shutdown of the CIA station in Khartoum. He caused it to be shut down at a crucial time because he believed fake news that was passed to him. (He was fortunate that Susan Rice in the State Department screwed up Sudan worse than he did, so he got a pass.) Black was given a number of important tasks after that, and he probably left the Agency with a medal, or letter of commendation, or something similar to that received by many another CIA failure.
