The authorities of the Republic of Poland, after consultations between the President and the Goverment, are ready to deploy – immediately and free of charge – all their MIG-29 jets to the Ramstein Air Base and place them at the disposal of the Government of the United States of America.
At the same time, Poland requests the United States to provide us with used aircraft with corresponding operational capabilities. Poland is ready to immediately establish the conditions of purchase of the planes.
The Polish Government also requests other NATO Allies – owners of MIG-29 jets – to act in the same vein.

That would take at least four to six months to get pilots up to speed on the type. Anything less would result in dead pilots and destroyed A-10s for no return. It’s not the 1940s any more where an experienced pilot in one type can get trained to the point of combat proficiency in days or a couple weeks.
Additionally, Poland does *not* have the logistics train and maintenance personnel for the A-10, so they’d have huge expenses there.
On the other hand, the Poles do have SU-25s which were the Warsaw Pact counterpart to the A-10, and they’ve been upgrading them. The A-10 isn’t going to provide a whole lot more than what they already have.

The Polish MiG-29s have been heavily updated and upgraded from their original configurations.

I think it was pretty clear that Putin had either bought off, threatened or both Viktor Yanukovych to get him to reverse Ukraine’s position on the European Union–Ukraine Association Agreement. It was overwhelmingly popular in Ukraine, including in the Ukrainian Parliament, and Yanukovych himself had supported it. Then, Putin put the screws to him because he didn’t want Ukraine to get closer to Europe, and Yanukovych publicly reversed himself. The Ukes rightly thought their President had sold out to Moscow, and rebelled.

Nobody really cares that much about Air-Ground kills. Not much glory in it. That’s why the zoomers in the air force hate Close Air Support. Lots of casualties and not much air-air glory.

Kidding aside, I feel like a ragdoll in the wind since elections aren’t real anymore and there is no peaceful recourse now. Its like Insane Idiots at the wheel doing whatever they want with no immediate repercussions.
