HOUSTON (AP) — The nation’s largest pediatric hospital has announced it has stopped gender-affirming therapies after Texas Gov. Greg Abbott ordered the state’s child welfare agency to investigate reports of gender-confirming care for kids as abuse.
Texas Children’s Hospital, located in Houston, announced that its decision to stop such hormone-related prescription therapies was made after it reviewed Abbott’s order, which came when Republican Attorney General Ken Paxton last month released a nonbinding legal opinion that labeled certain gender-confirming treatments as “child abuse.”
“The mission of Texas Children’s Hospital is to create a healthier future for all children, including transgender children, within the bounds of the law ... This step was taken to safeguard our health care professionals and impacted families from potential criminal legal ramifications,” the hospital wrote in a statement released Friday.
Civil rights and medical groups as well as parents of transgender children have been highly critical of Abbott and Paxton over the order, calling it cruel and an attempt to tear families apart.
President Joe Biden on Wednesday condemned Abbott’s directive and announced steps his administration was taking to protect transgender youth and their families in the state.

If you want confirmation of gender, just look at the place where your legs are joined when you strip down to bathe.
If that doesn’t work, then consult a human anatomy book.

This may have just sealed Abbott’s next term.

If that's so, help them return to normal sexuality and stop pretending that homosexuality is normal.

The lies they tell to do their evil. Nothing will ever confirm you are the opposite sex. That is impossible.
Sounds nicer than “doctors chemically castrating mentally disturbed children to trap them in their delusions”.
This IS Child abuse! The parents and hospital needs to be prosecuted for it.
A kid is not in a position to know. 90% of kids who think they are gay grow up to be heterosexual.
Of the Kids who get such a disability as many as 50% later kill themselves never for never being able to develop and live a normal life.
This is not mere castration, what they are doing to such kids is much more crippling then that.
There is a reason such a large % of them end up killing themselves later in life having finally figured out what they lost.
