A more optimistic take on the Durham bombshell: A former counter-intelligence special agent for the FBI thinks there’s reason to believe that Durham really is closing in on Hillary and her inner circle

Yesterday, I wrote a post detailing what was in Special Prosecutor John Durham's latest filing, a seemingly innocuous motion that contained within it the allegation that Rodney Joffe, a tech executive, at the behest of Hillary Clinton's campaign, spied on Trump, both in Trump Tower and his apartment and, later, in the White House. However, my cynicism is such that I doubted that this would actually come to anything. Mark Wauck, a retired counter-intelligence special agent for the FBI, is more optimistic.

As noted, I'm cynical that this will go anywhere. I haven't forgotten that, on July 5, 2016, James Comey gave chapter and verse about Hillary's deliberate actions to evade national security laws regarding her emails and then ended by saying, essentially, "Whatever." Wauck, however, thinks Durham's investigation is different.

My post, after summarizing Durham's latest allegations, echoed what Sundance, at Conservative Treehouse said, which is that this is a cosmetic exercise that is meant to provide cover for Mueller's investigation, which was itself a cover-up. Wauck had a few rebuttals that are worth considering, especially because they'll make you feel happier than what I wrote.

Wauck points out that it's meaningful that Joffe is discussed but not indicted:

It's because Durham is targeting him for cooperation. There's only one reason a member of a conspiracy is targeted for cooperation, and that's because that person was acting at the behest of someone higher up the ladder who exercised overall control of the conspiracy.

As far as Wauck is concerned, that's Hillary herself.

I certainly hope this isn't just about going after Hillary. She is 74, and not a healthy 74, either. Obama and his Marxist minions were also involved in this, and present a much bigger problem into the future if they aren't dealt with in the present.

In a perfect world, it would be Hillary who, when cornered, flips and gives up Obama and the minions.

And then the tapes of the conversation turn up on Huma's cellphone, kept as Huma's personal insurance policy, where Hillary is heard telling her lawyer, "Make the deal. I'm not going down for that ^$(*#& n****r. Not while Bill gets a pass on Epstein."

The world isn't perfect, but we can dream.

I would hope so but remain unconvinced. Here’s a guy who dealt with the snakes in NYC real estate and yet was remarkably naïve as the US chief executive. I realize he is not a politician (perhaps his greatest asset) but some of the personnel decisions and inaction (e.g., CoS, Covid) were jaw-dropping.

Although there is an infinitesimal chance that the Deep State might be willing to throw Hillary under the bus as a means to divert attention from the incompetent misrule of Joe Xiden’s handlers.

The deep state is doing this for several reasons. One: They want everyone to notice the deep state is not politicized; see, we are going after democrats too! Two: The deep state hates Hillary and wants her permanently removed from the political scene. (Obama’s deep state influence is prevalent now. Remember, those two don’t like each other).

Side note: Hillary also wants to run now to replace Brandon in 2024 so she won’t be subject to prosecution.

Hillary was never getting in, they didn’t continue to spy because of that hope. Further, if they had done independent spying, NOT using government resources and government contractors, then I MIGHT believe this hypothesis. They used Government sponsored/paid contractors DURING the Obama Administration (when Hillary wasn’t in government) to go after Trump. That means it was a GOVERNMENT operation. That means it came from OBAMA/BIDEN, used a corrupt three letter acronym group of agencies, and foriegn intelligence.

Let that sink in everyone.......they are just throwing out Hillary now to cover the real problem.
