In spite of hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars spent by Dr. Fauci at the NIH, he did not develop a vaccine. Scientists in Europe developed therapeutics to help prolong the lives of AIDS victims.
Even though the militant gay community supported Bette Midler she did nothing to help them and she lost her paying gigs at the bath houses.
