“Social Security is raising benefits with a 5.9% cost-of-living adjustment — the highest in decades but not enough to offset price hikes.”

Couple of years ago when I was about to begin my SS the Medicare deduction was $135.

Next year it’s what, $170?

Sort of takes away from that huge SS increase, right off the top.

Same for my husband and I. The SS increase minus the Medicare increase equals we’ll actually get $55 less combined next year
