Nov 23 (Reuters) - A federal jury in Charlottesville, Virginia, on Tuesday found the organizers of the 2017 "Unite the Right" white nationalist rally liable for injuries sustained by counter-protesters, a lawyer for the plaintiffs said, and media reports said it awarded more than $25 million in damages.
The nine plaintiffs said they suffered physical or emotional trauma at the rally, including four who were struck when a self-described neo-Nazi, James Fields, drove his car into a crowd of counter-protesters, killing 32-year-old Heather Heyer.
After a four-week trial, the jury found in favor of the victims on four of six counts but was unable to come to a unanimous verdict on the other two, media reports said.
The rally followed months of protests over the city's plan to remove a statue of Confederate General Robert E. Lee. Hundreds of white nationalists traveled to Charlottesville in August 2017, with some marching on the University of Virginia campus carrying torches and chanting "Jews will not replace us!"

The persons to blame are the governor and mayor who instructed the police to force the two opposing groups together in order to instigate violence.
Pyrrhic victory
Would there have been any violence if the “counter-protesters” hadn’t attacked the protest?
Still telling that lie. She didn't get hit by the car. She was obese and had a heart attack. It was someone else who the car struck and they didn't die. Not sure how injured they were.
You have this judgement and the judge in Colorado who fined the lawyers questioning the election. This is to distract us from the 6uild, 6ack, 6etter bill passage.
Good luck collecting it. This is another guy that got railroaded. When a mob is coming at you with bats then the drive was bound to freak.
It also wasn’t first degree murder hy any means. He was trying escape a crowd of Antifa who were surrounding his car and possibly intent on dragging him out of it to kill him. One of them admitted he was pointing an AR-15 at Fields, but was never charged.
Complete fraud. This will be reversed on appeal with prejudice.
There are two people accused of organizing Charlottesville rally.
Jason Kessler who voted for Obama
and Richard Spencer who voted for Biden
The Judge’s clerks were friends were the Plantiff, Elizabeth Sines. It only came it during the course of the trial that this conflict of interest existed, including screenshots of her giving direct payments to the clerks.

Well, that tidbit is newsworthy.
Still his fault…
The name “Unite the Right” sounds like an FBI sting operation.
Conservatives don’t think of themselves in those terms, only people who hate them.
I live here. I was there. What you claim here is untrue. It is true that the police and the politicians share a lot of responsibility for what happened that day, but Fields’ actions are indefensible.

Funny how the press coverage from a lesser event of 4 years ago is greater than the press coverage of an event from a few days ago where 5 were run over and dozens maimed.
She died of blunt force trauma to the chest. How do you suppose that happened?
No it isn’t. Dwayne Dixon admitted he pointed a gun at James Fields. He was recorded stating he had it in the “low ready position”.
The carnage in Wisconsin has got a lot of coverage, the day it happened and today. The coverage I’m seeing has spent a great deal of time covering what a dirt bag the driver was in past and for the death and suffering he has caused.
Have to be honest, didn’t even know or I had forgotten, there was a trial going on re: Charlottesville rally. I think the jury coming back with a decision is why we’re hearing about it now. The freaking press loves to cover controversial court cases.
