the vast majority of people that have died from covid, are elderly and/or with co-morbidities.

The average life expectancy in Africa is almost 20 years lower than in developed nations - so if they don’t have a large elderly population I would assume that would play a part in why their death rates are lower.

They simply don’t have many 80+ year olds alive to kill off.

bottom 14 countries all already have a life expectancy at or under 60 years.

And as far as co-morbidities the obesity rate is generally much lower among Africans, especially among men. I also wonder if being outside more has anything to do with it.
