On the last jury I was on, several women cried when engaged in discussion.

Funny story. I was in a civil lawsuit over a car accident. I couldn’t believe I was selected but there I was.

I wasn’t going to award a damn thing to anyone. However, the person being sued had caused the accident by engaging in one of my big pet peeves - driving down the center turn lane for over a quarter of a mile to avoid traffic at the light.

The plaintiff’s lawyer asked for an absurd amount given the details of the accident. I felt like they should get something for the missed work and inconvenience though, so I settled on $5K. (Plaintiffs asked for $2 million!).

I thought for sure I would have to battle the women on the jury that would want to give a huge award.

Long story short...It turned out I was the only person that wanted to give a single penny! The women were the most adamant about that! (btw, a woman was suing another woman).
