I am in your camp. I did not go to Iraq, but I did have a career with a Big Oil Company and I thought that creating a military base in the Middle East was a good thing to do.
But as soon as Obama gets elected, he pulls out all the troops from Iraq and the trillions of dollars spent were wasted. And none of the GOP leadership objected.
Then when Trump eliminated JEB in 2016, it seemed the Bush family went postal and whenever they could bash Trump they did so with glee.

The part about “defiling national symbols” strongly suggests that he was talking about 1/6. Antifa may have burned flags and attacked a courthouse, but they weren’t given all the “defiling national symbols” treatment by the media.
