That means it is within the margin of voter fraud....
Like other Californians my fear is the Motor Voter and other election fraud tactics we've been subjected to for probably 20 years.
The good news is that it sounds like Larry is onto it and has promised vigorous litigation should they make inroads with their steal attempt.
I only hope he is preparing equally vigorous oversight, i.e., cameras and cell phone recordings, volunteers, poll watchers, etc.
Translation: The machines are set to make it close.

What I do know is that this recall has broad based support and that we have damaged Gavin politically. So even if we lose we have won.
I also know that this massive and commendable effort has restrained his crappy behavior to some extent. For example, for now, only Los Angeles and SF are attempting any kind of vaccine mandate.
Without this recall we’d probably looking like Australia right now.
That just means their waiting to see how much they need to cheat.

With the fraud set up for this, if Newsom does get recalled, he will have lost 70%+ of the legitimate vote.

Kalifornia’s democrat election rigging apparatus is still in place and in full force. The Kalifornia democrats will never relent power by a mere governor’s recall election. They’re in control and they aren’t going anywhere. And Republicans in the state remain silent on the democrat’s political corruption.
Will Newsom be recalled?
No, he will likely win by a few million votes. Ballot harvesting with no identification is completely legal. Stories of felon/drunk falling asleep in his car with hundreds of ballots.
There are many stories like this. You can even print a ballot on your home computer. “Imagine if a ballot harvester comes to your door and offers to take and turn in your ballot for you. You tell the ballot harvester that you don’t have it anymore, or threw it out. So the ballot harvester can now tell you that you can print a new ballot right off of your computer and then grab it.
These harvesters can discard any vote they don’t like.
And the 'polling industry' has become ever so much more accurate of late? Recall that their record has been ABYSMAL when it has had significant public interest, especially in under-predicting the centrist right.
So others have it right in that a close election forecast will have the LEFTist 'D's out ti win however they can! Now many mailbox keys are in the possession of malefactors? How many ballot harvesters will be out, helping the blind to fill in their votes?
That's why I'm ballot-harvesting for my family and plan to drop them on Election Day at the Recorder's office.
Why make their fraud easy? Make them work for it.
If the “poll” says it’s too close to call, then Newsom must be losing by a significant margin. If he were winning by a slim margin, the “poll” would have him up 5-10%.
Between ballot harvesting, vote creation and secret counting by Newsom operatives, he will be re-elected. But this time, hopefully, the fraud will be so obvious that something might actually happen to correct it going forward.

The recall will be decided by whomever counts the votes.
Which means the effort is leading by twenty points.
Too close to call so they say. Makes it easier to cheat with plausible deniability than if everyone thought it was going to be a blow out.
