The news Monday that former NFL star Herschel Walker has registered to vote in Georgia is terrible news for Senate Republicans hoping to retake the majority next November.
Walker's move from Texas, where he has lived for decades, to Georgia preceded him filing papers Tuesday to run for the seat currently held by Sen. Raphael Warnock. And given Walker's high name ID -- primarily derived from his years of football stardom -- and the vocal support of former President Donald Trump for his candidacy, Walker immediately becomes the favorite for the GOP nomination.
And that is a MAJOR problem for Republicans.

A vote for Walker is a vote against McConnell.
I’m not so sure about Walker. His history of multiple personality disorder is gonna be a big problem. Plus let’s be honest. His skill set does not make him a good senate candidate.
Herschel is a great guy. Very likable. But I don’t believe he’s got what it takes to be an effective senator. I guess if we’re just looking for someone with an R behind his name he’s better than the democrats.
Haha as Sleepy Joe’s approval rating in states like GA conceals around the low 40s, Herschel will win simply by adopting a Sleepy style hide-in-the-basement strategy.

The “bad news” is that alt-Democrats (aka Rino Republicans) will have to rally around the McConnell/Schumer big tent.

What’s really interesting is the leading candidate to replace the Governor of Georgia is a Black Republican and the leading Republican to replace Warnock is a Black Republican....if both candidates win, that is a nightmare for Democrats.....
Not to mention the leading Candidate to replace Gavin Newsome if he’s recalled is another Black Republican...

What determines a Senator’s position, is who gets to pick his staff.
The staff is who write legislation and advise the senator what to vote for or against.
