"Remember, just a couple of months ago, we were having about 10,000 cases a day," Fauci told McClatchy's DC Bureau on Wednesday. "I think you're likely going to wind up somewhere between 100,000 and 200,000 cases."
"What we're seeing, because of this increase in transmissibility, and because we have about 93 million people in this country who are eligible to get vaccinated who don't get vaccinated — that you have a significant pool of vulnerable people," Fauci said. "And so when you look at the curve of acceleration of 7-day averages of cases per day, it is going up in a very steep fashion."

One gov’t guy says 200,000 infections a day in the Fall, another says we can be thru the Delta in 3 weeks. With these folks, how can anyone be unclear?
Funny how they just talk about cases. The death rate seems to be low. That means people will have natural immunity. Awesome!
We have had a couple dozen people contract the death virus last week after a church summer camp, my wife included. No one has had any symptoms other than what one would equate to the flu. The main problem is lingering headaches and chest pain. My wife lost her sense of taste. Some are teenagers and some are in their 50’s.
How many DEATHS per day?
There are way more cases of the common cold per day, but we don’t freak out over it, because few people die of the common cold.
If covid has changed to a less deadly, but more easily caught virus, it’s actually a good thing.
