SALEM, MA — Sun, sand and a shot of vaccine.
That's what city and health officials hope will make for a fun and potentially life-saving trip to the beach for those who have been procrastinating on their vaccinating this weekend.
On Friday and Saturday, Salem and Curative will have a mobile unit at Salem Willows Park where anyone eligible who has yet to receive a coronavirus vaccine can get one. The unit will be there from 4 to 6 p.m. on Friday and 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday.
Both the Pfizer and J&J vaccine will be available. Second appointments will be set up for those who choose the Pfizer vaccine.
The city said volunteers with the Medical Reserve Corps and the North Shore Coalition for a Safe Summer will be in the park to educate and answer any questions about the vaccine. They will then direct those interested to the mobile vaccination team.
The Coalition of 10 North Shore communities and their boards of health said last week that over the next several weeks it will focus its outreach efforts on the student population — currently 12 years old and older for the Pfizer vaccine — eligible for the vaccine, as well as populations that have been disproportionately impacted during the pandemic, and the vaccine-hesitant.

I guess that’s nice, but where’s the Salem witch angle?
Non-vaxxed will be burned at the stake.
We’re gonna build a bridge out of her.
They KNOW some people collapse and need cardiac or other support STAT upon being vaccinated so they have mobile units in gyms and grocery stores and now the beach and basically, far far away from needed medical resources! *smh*
Because everyone going to the beach is unable to find transportation or directions to their nearest CVS/Walgreens/etc...they need pushers at the beach to “help”.
Grocery stores are offering the SHOT...FREE....sheesh...there is just TOO much pushing this shot. (I refuse to call it anything else.)
When you can’t even give away a “life saving vaccination”... maybe the description is not accurate.
People getting vaccinated at the beach are not the people you want to see at the beach.
Can they tell whether one has been vaccinated? My understanding is there is no antibodies, so how can they tell other than someone’s word?
She turned me into a newt!
CHYNAMART in Iron Mountain Michigan has a sign in the lobby...”Free Vaccines”
Did they burn any Witches?
[there is just TOO much pushing this shot]
I’ve never seen anything like it. I would never have believed it possible, to push something like this.
You certainly can’t escape it; everywhere you go.
The vaccine hype reminds me of:
“There is no free lunch” and “If something sounds too good to be true, it probably is.”
It’s very strange...
