A four-year-old boy was found stabbed to death on a Dallas street after he was allegedly abducted from his bed by a teen now facing charges for kidnapping.
A jogger came across the body of Cash Gernon in the city's Mountain Creek neighborhood at around 7am Saturday, Assistant Police Chief Albert Martinez said, adding that it appeared the child suffered a violent death from an 'edged weapon'.
Darriynn Brown, 18, was arrested in the case hours later and was charged with kidnapping and theft. Police said they also anticipate additional charges pending the results of a forensic analysis.

One article online reads that the woman was not the boy’s mother but his guardian. That is probably why his twin was placed somewhere else.
Very little details and I kind of hate myself for this but I think the guardian was involved.
I can’t find any articles stating when she notified the police. What I have read makes out as if she only had contact with them after his body was found. The remark about the security footage seems off to me. You have a security camera but your door is weak enough where somebody can just barge in?
With 100% certainty, I can state that if the race of the victim/perp were reversed, race would have been included in the Daily Mail headline and the entire article would have focused on it.
It was only a life time ago where if someone went in and murdered someone’s little kid in this type of horrific act, they’d been hunted down by family/neighbors and quickly disposed.
Many of these reports are just flat out alarming.
If what the story claims is true, four year old Cash's pain is over. I believe he will feel absolute love for all eternity. Although I feel sorry for Cash's family for their loss, I also feel sorry for 18 year old Darriynn Brown. If Darriynn did commit this crime and it was done out of hate, one must understand that life is very short, then comes the judgement and that is eternal.
