Chauvin Trial Day 8 Wrap-Up: “I Ate Too Many Drugs” Video May Be Game-Changer

Once again the defense weaponizes prosecution ‘expert’ witnesses against the prosecution case.

Today’s testimony began with the continuation of the direct questioning by Prosecutor Schleiter of Sergeant Jody Stiger, of the Los Angeles Police Department, who has been retained by the state prosecutors as an expert witness on use-of-force tactics and policy.

You’ll recall that the direct of Stiger began yesterday afternoon and ran for 30 minutes, until Judge Cahill decided to call it a day. That direct continued today for about another 45 minutes, before the witness was turned over to the defense.

Here’s a leading indicator that state-paid use-of-force expert witness Stiger was ultimately more favorable to the defense than he was to the prosecutors who’d paid him $13,000 to provide his expertise to help convict Chauvin: Whereas the State spent about 75 minutes questioning their own expert, Defense Counsel Nelson spent more than 90 minutes doing so.

Since no officer in their right mind would risk ANYTHING for such backstabbers, these departments are going to be filled with officers who are not in their right minds.

This is an important point - people keep lamenting all of the officers LEAVING, instead of wondering about the ones that are STAYING.

Apparently you didn’t read the posted article. The prosecution’s own expert witness on use of force testified that a handcuffed person is still a threat. They can run. They can grab an officer’s gun. They can kick, bite, spit and fight. Floyd was by far the largest and heaviest person in that scrum. The initial officers on the scene tried to get him in the car and Floyd resisted. Chauvin’s knee was not even on Floyd’s neck. Floyd had a 3-times lethal dose of fentanyl in his system. Having ingested that much fentanyl plus other drugs, Floyd would have died no matter what else happened to him that day. But you go right ahead and stupidly believe the lie.

"The notion that a handcuffed suspect is no longer a threat is not correct, a handcuffed suspect can continue to present a risk? Yes, answered Stiger."

In an incredibly odd coincidence, almost simultaneous to yesterday's testimony by Stiger, this was happening in Atlanta.

Georgia sheriff's deputy fatally stabbed by handcuffed inmate; another wounded, authorities say

Dude, you don’t know what you believe you know. You can be restrained in that position for an hour and not reduce blood flow to the brain! That is why it is an approved and TAUGHT method of police restraint!

It wasn’t a choke hold. It didn’t cut off blood flow. In fact, I don’t think ANYONE is arguing Floyd died from lack of blood.

No problem..... the drugged out criminal resisted arrest and was taken down and restrained.

The criminal in essence committed suicide by cop. Knowing of his poor health, the criminal got drugged out and then passed a phony $20 bill and then went wild resisting arrest. The number of possible charges is probably at least 5.

The criminal has only one defense....... he is black. Being black in Minneapolis is perceived as a get out of jail and by extension freedom from arrest card.

And...... the drugged out black criminal violated the cops’ (plural possessive ) civil rights to a safe work place

“Do they deserve to die in hand cuffs?”

If they already took a fatal drug overdose, they are likely to die no matter what the cops do.

Five men and nine women have been chosen to serve on the jury during the trial in Minneapolis. Of the 14 jurors, eight are White, four are Black and two are mixed race, according to how the court says the jurors identified themselves.

These days the racial and gender makeup of a jury in any case is not as important as their politics.

Yes, I do see the problem. George Floyd, likely in an effort to conceal evidence before his impending arrest, ingested a dose of fentanyl THREE TIMES THE FATAL amount.

That’s what killed him. Nothing else. The moment he swallowed those drugs, he was a dead man.

Seems eddie made up his mind when he saw a video and some pics a year ago. Eddie sounds like a rabid leftist. Eddie should riot with blm so he can scream the same thing over and over and maybe get some new Nike shoes out of it. Seems his emotional maturity lines up perfectly with blm. Facts, testimony, autopsy; none of that matters. Only feelings matter.

Chauvin may have well just put a slug in his cranium. At least Floyd would have suffered as much.

Not too hyperbolic! LOL!

Odds are George Floyd would be alive today if he hadn't ingested the drugs that fueled his manic attempt to flee and shut down his respiratory system.

Who’s willing to take a bet that if there is “reasonable doubt” and he’s not guilty, cities will burn? Big liberal cities.

We know it's true. People who contributed by sports and entertainment money in such cities as Detroit were wrong and if they happen to be trapped there when the unpleasantness hits the fan, it's their problem.

In July, 1967 the fans inside Tiger Stadium were not told there was a riot starting near them. They saw smoke but grew afraid until they figured someone would tell them if they were in danger. The owners and the city rulers demanded the announcers NOT tell the truth. It would look bad.

I was a college student driving through the city that day and thought it odd that a big fire I had passed was on the other side of the freeway. How could there be two big fires? The radio news was censored totally. No one knew where to avoid to be safe.

I made it home. My A&P supermarket near the apt. I had just vacated three weeks earlier near Wayne State University was burned to the ground and used in national AP photos with light fixture cables hanging over totally charred, blackened rubble.
