Mayor John Lee says Democratic Party is full of 'card-carrying socialists'
After being elected as a Democrat, North Las Vegas Mayor John Lee said on 'Fox & Friends' Tuesday that he's switching to the Republican Party. Lee argued the Democrats' "elitist" and "socialist" agenda is not one he "can stand with anymore."
MAYOR JOHN LEE: They had an election recently for leadership, and four of the five people were card-carrying members of the Socialist Party. It's not the party that I grew up with 25 years ago in this environment, and it's not the party I can stand with anymore...
The working class, or working men and women of this country, and also the small business owners are not a part of the conversation anymore. It all has to do with the elitists and it has to do with the socialists. That is not the agenda that I have in mind for this country of the future...

I've expected to see this very dynamic, and I anticipate much, much more of it.
Lots of Dems (both elected and Dem voters) are not Marxists, and they object to the leftists' hostile takeover of their once great party.
Call this the Ronald Reagan effect. (paraphrasing) I didn't leave the Democrat Party, they left me.
Mayor for 8 years-ready for a change? Carson city or D.C? You first have to raise the eyebrows. Pretty smart of him.
It'll do no good now, unless he also brought out intel that imprisons other Democrats, and the RINOs use it.
It took him a while to wake up. Now he is dead politically.

Good point. The problem the deep state has is crusty old unindoctrinated fools like me. Once enough of us die off, they’re home free.
What about when the governor limited Trump’s events?
Oh just great. Another Republican who is in fact a democrat at heart — maybe not a full socialist, but supporting the normal democrat policies and ideology. We already have a bunch of those in the US Congress.
As biden slips into the Most Hated man in America—many Dems will toss him and his socialist Cabal under the buss. Wait for summer of burning cities! High Taxes,inflation etc (Remember Ford’s “WIN” Button “Whip Inflation Now”?—as if a lapel button could stop Nixon’s inflation). Bad times are coming and with it will come Anti-Government rage.
I ask it again.

Lines will be redrawn and sadly the rats in NV have control but he’d be a good candidate for the current CD-4.
