While the world is focused on OPEC news and Easter preparations, the Ukrainian crisis is heating up and there is a real threat of a military confrontation involving Ukraine, Russia, and Belarus. Currently, the Ukrainian military is fighting Moscow-backed separatists in the Donbas region. At the same time, heavy clashes with Russian-backed forces in and around Shymy have been reported. International pressure has been building on Russia to force a direct ceasefire, but no moves have been made. In recent weeks, analysts warned of a possible full-scale military confrontation as they considered the military moves in the region as provocations by Moscow. At the same time, most confrontations were localized, with no real regional impact yet.
The military stalemate, however, could well be coming to an end. A growing amount of reports have emerged showing not only largescale Russian military movements towards the Ukrainian border but also Moscow’s only regional supporter Belarus has deployed new troops to the Ukrainian border. As Julian Ropcke, a German Bild reporter, said on Wednesday, large amounts of Belarus’ military hardware, including BTR-80 armored vehicles and military trucks are moved to the border region. Kiev has already reacted to the growing threat perception by calling up reinforcements. Ruslan Khomchak, Ukraine’s Commander-in-Chief, stated to the press that Russia is building up armed forces near Ukraine’s borders in a threat to the country’s security.

They will send swarms of jets, choppers and sea based troops.
The battle would last about an hour—as soon as Taipei gets the call from Harris that we won’t be coming to help. And then she will laugh.
He cannot remember where his stick is.
Not sure we should have any troops in Europe, let alone Ukraine.
Russia is not invading Germany. And Germany isn’t going anywhere.
If Russia wants to pick a fight with us, there are plenty of other places to do it.
“Watch Joe send US troops to backstop the Ukrainians.”
It would be impossible to exceed that stupidity.
America does not need to be a global Karen.
Putin took Crimea and lost the rest of Ukraine.
"Putin’s invasion has backfired as the people of Ukraine push back against anything Russian"

No worse than seeing people champion the neo-nazi militants in Ukraine that literally name battalions after SS psychopaths. Kiev was overthrown by a violent western Ukrainian mob. That doesn’t mean they naturally inherit everything owned by old Ukraine. That is because people in Crimea and the Donbas have the same right to self-determination that the people in Kehe beyond. If the principle for achieving power is the use of force. Don’t be surprised if other people decide to do the same thing you did.
It was always a little bit insane for the neocons to dream that Sevastopol was going to become a NATO Navy base.
Lol, they can always just drink Russian vodka.
Why should conservatives support Ukraine? I don’t see the slightest reason. Their main loyalty other than to corruption is to the EU.
So, we agree...it’s a possibility. Ha ha.
Lol, the "neo-nazi militants in Ukraine" who elected a Jewish President?
"Ukraine’s Newly Elected President Is Jewish. So Is Its Prime Minister."

They could easily move a couple of million troops across a 90 mile straight. China has so many small boats, trawlers, fishing craft, freighters. It would be no problem at all. Just simply send a flotilla swarming that way. In six hours the whole thing would be over. I want does not have the combat power to stop the swarm because they would be fully engaged with the Chinese Navy. The US Navy can’t get within 500 miles of the place without getting lit up by Chinese missiles. PLAF fighters and bombers could do out and back sorties from the mainland effortlessly.
China could easily see is Taiwan on any given day. The only thing stopping them from doing it is a credible nuclear threat. And political financial considerations. Nobody believes America will use nuclear weapons anymore, so that one’s gone. Nobody seriously believes Biden would do anything to stop China. So it’s coming.
Also, China is not stupid. They won’t just wake up and do it some morning out of the blue. Just like BLM and antifa riots in America, china will foment unrest of some sort in Taiwan and then cast their invasion as a rescue mission, reestablishing stability.
Why doesn't it? Ukraine isn't the victim. Crimea was traditionally Russian. It was given to Ukraine only when both countries were part of the Soviet Union and wouldn't have been if there had been any clue that Ukraine would try to deny Russia access to the port there. It's Russia's only warm water port. And, the majority in Crimea would rather be part of Russia.
I can't blame Putin at all for taking the action he did.
It would have to be a D Day scale, and would have to cross more water.
When they arrived they would be greeted by a million rifles.
They don’t have the means. If they did, they would have done it already.
Yup... with Trump out of the picture, anything goes. The entire planet is in deep stuff. If God tossed an asteroid the size of Texas at us, I would not blame Him.
Not just Taiwan, but blockade the Phillipines, so that the threat is so great to Xiden that they calculate he can save face by giving them Taiwan PLUS the 200M+ cordon from the Spratleys all the way to Qingdao.
Luckily he can't start any more wars.
The Russian invasion in eastern Ukraine (Donbas, Luhansk) has resulted in 13,500 deaths and 1.5 million Ukrainians refugees.

In March 2018, Trump approved the $47 million sale of 210 Javelin anti-tank missiles and 37 launchers to Ukraine. The missiles were the first lethal military assistance provided to Ukraine by the United States in its fight against Russian-supported separatists in eastern Ukraine since that fighting began in 2014.
