In fact it won’t be long before Duerte rents or leases Subic Bay port and what’s left of Clark Airbase to the Chinese. The Chinese are already heavily invested and control much of the timber industry, agriculture and fishing in the Philippines. They need commercial and military port and air facilities in their economic colony. You don’t need “militia” or a military invasion when you can buy off the elite and outright own what you want.
