Sen. Patrick Leahy, the Vermont Democrat who is set to preside over the upcoming impeachment trial of former President Donald Trump, was taken to a Washington hospital on Tuesday afternoon after “not feeling well,” his spokesman said.

Gee, I hope nothing bad happens to him and the Republican governor has to choose a replacement.Vermont's Republican Governor (Phil Scott) called on Trump to resign after the Jan 6th Capitol riot. I wouldn't expect anything better than a Susan Collins type Republican appointment.

Will be rough if he needs surgery at his age.....coming out of anesthetic is not a walk in the park for those that old. More often than not you hear.."they died on the operating table"..when reality is their body organs wouldn't kick back from the anesthetic.

“How did Vermont ever elect a Republican Governor anyway? Send in the Dominion Voting machines next cycle, LOL.”
3 out of the 6 New England governors are Republican. All RINOs but then people from this part of the country are notoriously cheap, or as they would describe themselves “fiscally conservative and socially liberal”.
