“.... Leaders who build their career on being steady, predictable, and boring do not suddenly take the biggest political risk in 150 years.....”
There are none so blind as those who will not see.

Pence would not be taking the “biggest political risk in 150 years” by complying with the wishes of the framers of the US Constitution. True leaders, rise to the occasion when boldness is required.

In fact, there would be very little risk and plenty of benefits to Pence, Trump and the Republic.

If Pence voids the illegally certified electors (meaning the electors certified by the contested states’ governors who failed to follow their own state constitutions and which are required to comply with Article II, Section 1 of the US Constitution in conducting their state elections) because they did not comply with US Constitution, then he is not doing something which is necessarily risky or bold.

He is merely following the wishes of the framers of the Constitution. He would be acting on the straight and narrow. Nothing wild.

Now that is not to say that there wouldn’t be critics and dissenters who will disagree with his actions. There will be a lot of exploding democRAT heads, lots of screaming, wailing and lamenting and probably a good bit of rioting in the streets around the country. But following the Constitution is the safe, steady play for a guy like Pence.

If he does just that part in following the US Constitution, we will be left with less than the 270 to elect but the 12th Amendment to the Constitution says, “The votes shall then be counted ..... The person having the greatest number of votes for President, shall be the President....”

In plain language, Donald Trump will be re-elected, since he would have a majority of the electoral votes counted after the contested states’ electors are discounted and put aside for being in noncompliance with the constitution. There would be no need to use an alternate slate of electors sent in by the state GOP legislatures for Trump. There would be no need to involve the House of Representatives to resolve a contingent election.

If Pence does just this, he will be a hero to 72+ million Trump supporters and a shoe-in for the 2024 Presidency when Trump leaves office after his second term. He will cement his place in history for righting a stolen election and for saving the Republic in the process.

A win-win-win situation is what Pence, Trump and the country would have.

Such a great post — and spot on — I had to repost it!

Thanks for your support.

There will be those on this FR site who will criticize my opinion and rationale on how to restore Trump's win and save the Republic at the same time.

But I am of the belief that some of us are here to try and figure out a way to keep Trump in the Oval Office. After all, absence the fraud, he won by a landslide-like margin.

I, and others, are not trying to find ways Trump can't regain his rightful win. Just the opposite. We're trying to explore every avenue of success for the president. It's always easier to say something can't be done or that it is not possible, than it is try find ways to take advantage of every tool in Trump's constitutional rights' toolbox to get this win back in his corner.

I don't know, and nobody knows, how this will play out in the end, which is fast approaching as I write. But in my mind, it is not helpful to keep saying that it's over and Trump should give up and concede. That's exactly what the democRATS are hoping for.

It is not helpful to say this way of doing it or that route or the method over there is nonsense and will never work. All of our hopeful thinking and wishful strategies and plans may all become moot and they won't work out. Who knows?

But no one over won anything by giving up and quitting before the race was over.

If Trump is still in the game, so am I. My money is on him. If he's not crying uncle yet, neither should his supporters. Because the alternative of Biden/Harris, the Marxist democRATS and the Chinese Communist Party controlling the country is not acceptable me and millions of others.

These people committed treason in their failed coup d'état attempt as far as I'm concerned and we cannot let them "win" as a result. We still have our work cut out for us but I'm still in here fighting for every inch. I pray Pence and the President are successful.

Thanks again responding in a positive way.
