Hospitals in Southern California are so overrun by COVID-19 cases that doctors are running low on supplies of oxygen, infected patients are forced to wait eight hours in ambulances before they can enter an emergency room, and intensive care units are fully booked with no more beds available.
The skyrocketing surge in COVID-19 cases is raising suspicions among public health officials in Los Angeles County that a new, more contagious variant of the coronavirus is fueling the outbreak.
California's deadly Christmas was marked by pleas to avoid holiday gatherings outside the home and indoor church services in what could be a make-or-break effort to curb a coronavirus surge that already has filled some hospitals well beyond normal capacity.

Where are they going to find the time to assess these patients when their waiting room is full? It is not malpractice until you have actually have had a patient interaction.
This has been happening in Sacramento as I posted last week.
A 55 year old very conservative son of two very conservative 80 year olds was taken in an ambulance to a Sac area hospital.
There was no room at the inn and his ambulance and 10 others parked in the parking circle. The patients stayed in the ambulances until they could go into an ICU bed or sent home.
They were treated in the ambulances. This man stayed in his ambulance until the 3rd day and was brought back home in the ambulance.
He is improving everyday.
Ironically his niece, a licensed EMT and fire fighter and all most a nurse is back in S. California treating Covid patients at a hospital loaded with non English speaking patients.
This is her second monthly/contract trip since the end of the fire season. Besides her medical skills, she speaks fluent Spanish.
This hospital flies her down south to the LA area. She doesn’t pay for housing nor food. She is getting paid very well, and this somehow counts towards her RN degree. She has her second contract/agreement for a full month.
A Dr. from San Luis Obispo called Rush last week and said the same thing about illegals. They congregate in large groups, work at jobs with little distancing and they are the ones filling up the ERs.
“Not a single nod in this article to a demographic feature which would actually be helpful to the reader: 70% of covid cases in CA are hispanics.”
In the three counties north of Gay Frisco:
(Sonoma/Napa/Solano) and sometimes Marin, the Hispanics are at least 50% of the positives, ICU admits and the few deaths in this area.
In Sacramento and the big valley, the demographic features are what you posted.
I noticed back in the beginning of all this the Pennsy zip code with the biggest COVID numbers was Hazleton, PA (noted home to a large illegal population, Mr. Barletta’s efforts to the contrary).
I’m really of two minds about this.
Anecdotal evidence (from contacts near my old home town in NJ) is that life has gone on in such neighborhoods - bars & restaurants stayed open, large family & other gatherings have gone on unmolested. (no politician or media type would go near the issue). So their case numbers have gone up, but their way of life has survived.
You are not by yourself with your current thoughts, posted below:
People often forget about Prop 187 in CA in the mid 90s. It was a proposition on the ballot that would have denied all services to illegal aliens. It passed handily, and was promptly struck down by some low-level robed faggot, and Pete Wilson and the rest of the establishment declined to fight for it, thereby rendering the will of the people null and void.
For that matter, the same thing happened with the effort to keep marriage as between a man and a woman. (prop 8)
Given what this 2020 election has taught us about the integrity of our voting system, one must wonder how long the scam has been going on. It is quite possible that half the presidents or more in my lifetime were put in office under false pretenses, along with half the Senate and House.
It is possible that California has been a red state for years, and only fraud changed that.
Yes, that is how far gone we are.
The official answer is ZERO, PEASANTS! Ask any more questions like that and we’ll do dynamic entry on your house at 0400.
The puppet masters won’t sugger even a sniffle.
We had nine months to increase icu capacity.
What were we doing? Destroying the economy and cancelling civil liberties and politicizing cures and helps.
They could have quadrupled capacity if they wanted to.
In big cities amberlamps are just taxis used by bums to get a free ride downtown.
Los Angeles - 48.5% Hispanic
Los Angeles County - 48.6% Hispanic
Foreign born residents may also be a factor.
Los Angeles (city) is 37% foreign born.
So how are thing going at the bath houses and strip joints they’ve allowed to stay open?
Massive population centers like S. CA are similar to giant petri dishes of bubbling bacteria, flying fungi, bio waste, etc. I think there is now 26,000,000 people jammed into a space of 150 miles long from Ventura to San Deigo...Any contagious disease will spread in a venue like that.
...they should have been ferried up to Ventura Cnty...

Hey, they have enough problems. The nurses are even considering a strike.

Whereas at our local hospital, they will not admit anyone who does not have a positive 5 day test. All the symptoms, but no positive test results yet? Tough snot! Negative for flu or pneumonia, tough toenails. No treatment, even for classic covid symptoms, without that positive test result. (Even THEY know the quick tests are unreliable).
I call bullspit!!!!
No one is sitting around 8 hours in a critical situation. This is garbage
Are any patients being given HCQ?
Or are the democrats killing people so they can blame Donald Trump?
You know, there was a point where you might get away with
that. No longer.
Hospitals are packing people in tents outside their facilities.
Old closed wings of those hospitals have been opened and filled.
Staffing has become a critical issue.
Codes are being called about every thirty minutes in just one
hospital.
These COVID admittances are not people with little or no
symptoms. They are people who are very ill.
I have two extended family members who have just died of
COVID-19.
Point was..with nothing more, case rates among ethnicities will generally follow the population rates of those ethnicities.
All ethnicities are catching it here at alarming rates. Its not a racial, age or ethnic thing. Its more or less cultural practices driving it. But I also tend to suspect its because the bug is in the sewers and people are inside because its cool outside now.
I would disagree with that census figure though, this place has to be way over 50% hispanic/latino now
I live in Los Angeles County and I have just lost two extended
family members.
Nice to read how you think they deserve to die because they
live in California, and may or may not have voted for Leftists. /s
