California is at the breaking point: COVID-19 patients in ambulances are waiting EIGHT HOURS before entering ERs as ICUs run out of capacity and hard-hit LA County probes whether the new, more contagious strain is spreading locally

Hospitals in Southern California are so overrun by COVID-19 cases that doctors are running low on supplies of oxygen, infected patients are forced to wait eight hours in ambulances before they can enter an emergency room, and intensive care units are fully booked with no more beds available.

The skyrocketing surge in COVID-19 cases is raising suspicions among public health officials in Los Angeles County that a new, more contagious variant of the coronavirus is fueling the outbreak.

California's deadly Christmas was marked by pleas to avoid holiday gatherings outside the home and indoor church services in what could be a make-or-break effort to curb a coronavirus surge that already has filled some hospitals well beyond normal capacity.

I keep reading stories. Where’s the press with video coverage? Even my local news is relentless with COVID-19 “stories”. Where’s the video? Let’s see it.

“Where’s the video? Let’s see it.”

Exactly. They can say anything — and they do — but they don’t necessarily have to be truthful — and they aren’t. They can admit perfectly healthy people to the Covid units, say they’ve tested positive for the cootie, and collect their extra $3,000/patient. Nobody asks for proof.

The large hospital near me last year set up 4 large tents to be triage for any further hospitalization. They were hardky used and 3 were removed months ago.

If LA is full of hypochondriacs who show up in ambulances, they dont go straight into the hospital and are checked before being admitted. What we need to hear is how many are being rejected so that space can be reserved fro proper patients.

This doesn’t stop the Ambulances backing up down the road with whatever they have in them.

Flatten the curve- ok we flattened it.

Well, we really have to stop the deaths- ok, the death rate has dropped.

Well, we really have to stop the spread until a vaccine arrives- ok, that’s probably impossible but look a vaccine will come soon.

Well, the vaccine won’t come until late 2021- ok, we have a vaccine.

Well, there won’t be enough doses- ok, we will have enough to vaccinate the necessary population by June at the latest,

Well, now there is a new strain- ok, the vaccine likely works against it and it isn’t as deadly as the last strain.

Well, there is a new new strain- ok, so there will always be a reason to lock everyone in their homes.

Well, there is a cure- ok, what is that?

Pass a “Covid relief bill” that give everyone $2 in relief and gives us 2 trillion dollars in new taxes and socialism.

Ok, what does that have to do with Covid?

Well, who cares about Covid? This is about changing things up here. Oh, by the way, you aren’t traveling between states until you have a vaccination passport. May I see your papers or your tattoo? If not, get back to work on the public works project you have been assigned to. Work will set you free.

Oh yeah, and don’t forget to enjoy your “Dark Winter.”

-ok, we are voting your asses out!!!

Well, that is so cute you still think we have elections!!!

Perhaps Murican physicians should treat covid patience before they suffer hypoxia. Getting late when you cannot breath.

Welcome to hell. CA created this when they became a sanctuary state. They imported all the dregs from south of the border. Now they have to live with this.

Just put the patients onto California’s brand new high speed train system and they can be at a far away hospital with capacity in no time.

Exactly. How many are people who use the ER like it’s their primary care physician?

We’re at my mother in laws house for a few days to celebrate Christmas. She lives 800 miles from us. About two hours before we arrived, she found out that some 96 year old lady she plays cards with tested positive.

None of us are buying into the fear porn so as a family we decided to continue with our trip. (I suspect that if she tested positive, my wife would come anyway to help her out)

She has to wait till tomorrow for her test and is showing no symptoms at all. (as of yesterday her friend was doing well too)

We’ll see what happens.

Many people panic and go to the ER as their first option. You are right. The powers in charge are creating exactly what they want in order to completely take away all individual liberty.

Only a medical system designed to be a failure would leave patients waiting for 8 hours in ambulances. If they wanted to doctors could simply walk out to the ambulances in the parking lot and diagnose and/or treat the patients in the ambulances. Modern ambulances have climate control, oxygen supplies, medical instruments, and can readily be used for treating a patient.

Once the doctors saw the patients in the ambulances they could determine the next step. That might be "take them home", "take them to another hospital", or "move the patient to a bed in this hospital". Just having the patients sit in the parking lot is stupid, and probably malpractice.

California is at a crisis because people are fleeing it, except for the illegals.

Exactly.
Round one, they never used the hospital ship President Trump sent over.

They had ten months to prepare for their second wave.
They put diddly squat in place to cope with their second wave.

The flu visits twice a year.

They want this outcome!

Viruses gonna virus. Even non-viruses gonna non-virus.

Exactly.
They look around and identify flu strains active aroung the world.
They pick a top five strains, and create a vaccine to target the top five.
By the time they cook up a batch of vaccine and ship to Doctors, a new flu strain can present, or some other strain rises into the top five.

And that’s why flu vaccines have low efficacy, flu vaccines are hit and miss.

I am waiting for my brain washed sheeple freinds to figure this out

Is it true that every single person in LA County is a leftist? Are there really no conservatives there? There were 0 votes for Trump there?

So its ok to turn the County into a WW2 style concentration and extermination camp?
