America’s most prolific serial killer — who has credibly confessed to more than 90 murders — admitted to killing a woman whose death sent an innocent man to prison, according to a report Thursday.

The 80-year-old monster recently confessed to detectives that he killed Dorothy Gibson, a 17-year-old runaway who was found strangled outside a Miami hotel in 1977, according to the paper, which cited the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office.
Jerry Frank Townsend, a mentally retarded man who falsely confessed to killing Gibson, had previously spent 22 years behind bars before he was released in 2001.

Robert Ressler wrote a book wherein he said he believed that up to 20% of all serial killers were black, far out of proportion to their numbers in the population. I forget the books title, but I’m sure it wouldn’t be published today.
The Kenyon from Texas who killed up to 1000 elderly women in assisted living facilities will take the crown.
At a minimum, the number of Black Serial killers is about 26% in some literature I’ve read. That is about twice the population percentage.
Another interesting twist is that homosexuals account for about 15% of serial killers, and only constitute less that 1% of the population.
