True. If Biden pulls off the steal, Collins will vote to confirm all of his leftist judges, including for the Sup Court. She’ll vote for gun bans and other anti-Second Amendment legislation that comes her way. She’ll vote for radical pro-LGBT legislation that comes her way.

You're wrong.

I’m with you lodi. She’s a f***ing RINO. I wish there were a better alternative....but there ain’t. We already have Gin soaked Pelosi as Speaker...Imagine a world where Schumer is the leader of the Senate as well. Pretty damn grim.

“Susan Collins voted for the Trump tax cuts and the overwhelmingly majority of the president’s judicial picks.

The RAT challenger would have voted NO on all of the above.

I live in Maine’s Second District, by the way.”

Nice to see common sense here once in a while. You’re 100% correct.

Certainly not a big fan, but you got to hand it to her, she fought against heavy odds and pulled it out. Much better than losing the seat.

you can mislead yourself thinking that way. Another way to think of it is the 2022 class of senators were elected last in 2016 and a bunch of them were carried over the finish line by the success of Trump that year. There will be plenty of vulnerable GOP senators in 2022.

“…setback for Democratic hopes?”

They’re kidding? She is the most liberal republican senator on the job. She can’t be trusted to vote conservative at any time. A study published by Congressional Quarterly found that Collins voted with her party on party-line votes 59% of the time between 1997 and 2016. Currently, she is the Republican senator most likely to vote with Democrats. That’s not even 3/5 of the votes she did for almost 20 years. She is a problem for the conservatives, not an asset. Her recent voting against Amy Coney Barrett is a perfect example of her liberal actions. And without talking to anyone before or after the vote, went back to Maine.

And aged ones. Grassley will be 88. Shelby 87. I don’t expect they will run again and there will be some tough open seats. Other establishment stooges like Johnson and Portman might “retire” to K Street, too.

Without Trump anything is a better option than the Potemkin opposition to the progressive agenda of the GOP. Above all an opposition party is needed and the GOP of Susan Collins has proven they never will be. China Mitch and the gang will run their beltway two setep scams while the Dems install a defacto socialist state. Any Trump voter voting for the GOP Senate of Graham, Romney and Sasse has a death wish at this point.

I agree. I think Mitch McConnell gave Collins a pass on voting against Amy Coney-Barrett just as he gave her a pass on one of her votes in the Kavanaugh hearings - although she did vote in favor of Kavanaugh.

While I don't always agree with Susan Collins, I saw the Kavanaugh hearings and thought that Susan Collins acquitted herself well.

This conservative republican is thrilled. I don’t understand how smart people don’t understand that the senate is about numbers. You lose majority and you don’t have committees, you don’t set agenda. If Biden wins (God forbid), having the senate will save us from a lot of bad stuff getting passed.

They’ll get the Senate in 2022. Too many seats to defend, while all the Rats running are in the safe States.
