I dressed up as a Confederate General for Halloween one year, but...I have never regarded Confederate soldiers as anything less than Americans who made a choice that I wouldn’t have made, and had to be fought to a conclusion to decide.

I also dressed as a head chopping executioner, Bullwinkle the Moose, a dirty old man, and a Pink Elephant, none of which I lay claim to.

Except maybe the dirty old man.
