The tables have turned. Amy Coney Barrett, President Donald Trump’s Supreme Court nominee, continued to impress Americans on the third day of her confirmation hearing. Even Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.), who notoriously attacked Barrett for the “dogma” living “loudly” within her in 2017, said, “I’m really impressed.”
Barrett also deftly responded to Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.), the Democratic nominee for vice president, when she tried to trap the nominee in questions about climate change.

I enjoyed that. You have a healthy relationship with each other and know how you fit together. It’s comforting to hear over so much tension we hear about in families.
(Btw even as a woman, pink wouldn’t enter my bedroom lol. But we go thru different phases. I’m currently putting up new drapes in 3 rooms : family room, living room and dining room. And they definitely are more feminine than I had before. )

I am not capable of doing that kind of intellectual ju-jitsu...but I fully believe that she is, and I think that passage demonstrated that!
If God hadn’t meant men and women to be together, he would not have made women so enigmatic and men so curious!
The thing I’ve loved about Barrett’s testimony is that, at the same time that she is clearly the smartest person in the room, her explanations are readily understandable and relatable to every person watching the hearings. The thing is, she thinks clearly. And shows the rest of us how far we’ve deviated from that.
I know that she will issue judgements and opinions that go against policies that I support. I will have the comfort, unless I’m grossly mistaken, that she is doing so in support of the Constitution and the Law.
That is as much as we can ask from a judge.
That is all we should accept from a judge.

It is a Yin-Yang thing, in my opinion. I detest and despise these efforts to make men and women the “same”. We are different, and for good reasons.

She and Ted Cruz. Durbin was smart to shut up after the first exchange with Cruz. Democrats during the whole charade, were counting on the American public not having a memory related to issues they brought up. The back story was left hiding in the weeds. On a number of occasions, their efforts at appearance were brought to a screeching halt by their betters on the Republican side of the aisle. There was more that could have been done, but I was pleased with the push back applied.
