Iran was conquered by Muslims in the late 6th century.
It’s estimated by the 11th or 12th century it was 80% Muslim.
During the modern period it was probably high 90% Muslim with small or fractional percentages of Judaism, Zoroastrians, Bahia, Yazidis, Mandaeans & Christians.

Reforming Islam is impossible because their God Allah, had a messenger Muhammad, who is considered to be the perfect man and should be emulated.

Muhammad subjugated-converted or killed anyone who was not a Muslim.

The 4 Caliphs who followed Muhammad , Abu Bakr- Umar-Uthman -Ali, all knew and associated with Muhammad.

These Caliphs did the same as Muhammad to non Muslims, so there is no misunderstanding what a Muslim should do too please Allah.
And fundamental Muslims have been doing it for the last 1400 years.
