I haven’t read the NYT report, nor do I intend to. However, I’ve scanned a couple of the articles on it, and have a couple of comments.
Trump obviously has a myriad of sources of income and expenses. I’m sure he has swings of millions of dollars each way. It would be quite impossible that in two years out of twenty that he would have EXACTLY 750 dollars of income to report. That certainly smells of Fake News to me.
People with Trump’s type of income are required to estimate their income, and pay their taxes quarterly. To all you journalists out there, that means four times a year. Their final report includes these quarterly payments. Could it be that the NYT is simply confusing the amount OWED after these payments, rather than the actual total payments?
