The New York Times on Sunday revealed portions of President Donald Trumps tax returns. The data dates back over 20 years.
Trump paid no income taxes at all in 10 of the previous 15 years largely because he reported losing much more money than he made, the report says.
Additionally, Trump paid $750 in federal income taxes in 2016 and another $750 in 2017. The data obtained does not show The Presidents personal returns for 2018 or 2019.
Good joke. Clever and grimly funny in a "laughing to keep from crying" way.
This smells of illegality.
So did the IRS....
I’ve never understood why the media thinks it can make this an issue. Lots of big businesses pay little tax.
Trump should deny that these are his actual returns, and challenge the Times to prove that they are. They would have to either put up or shut up, and putting up would require them to disclose how they got them, which would likely involve admitting their own lawbreaking.
I always wonder who are the snitches around here.
If it’s a dude, he better sit down to pee.
Someone needs to go to jail. Find the person who did this.
Hi troll. Go ahead and leave the forum for months again.
Youve been wrong about everything else that you posted for the last six months, so keep,up the concern.
Curious why there would be two identical tax liabilities of only $750 in two consecutive years
Yeah, I read about your taxes and earnings in the NYT.
——Just kidding.
Look at how that feels to anyone in this new USSR type of country we live in.
Our hospital had cyberattack criminals steal information since 2000, including my wife’s room numbers and tests and medical treatments when she was there-—according to a disclosure letter we each got. They tried ransomware attack and got thousands of secret records.
Obama and Michelle or Bill and Hillary probably read them before we could get them. Kidding (I think).
sounds like these are for his resorts...which he bought simply because he loves golf...remember, Trump generates his wealth from real estate...not golf courses and hotels....
He paid 750 dollars, two years in a row. That’s good money!
Most rich folk move to Florida in order to NOT pay income taxes..if people dont like the way the tax law is written, change it!
IOWs, the source who provided the information was breaking the law by providing it to the Times, the Times knew this and participated in the criminal release of the information. Sounds like a criminal conspiracy to me.
Maybe its just a lie in hopes to force the real tax returns
The article doesn’t allege Trump committed any crime.
There are the normal “my accountant says” vs “irs thinks”.
One new thing that I learned in the article. A Congressional committee is required to approve any tax refund in excess of $2 million for an individual tax return.
I wonder if people on that Congressional committee provided financial docs to NYT.
Reagan changed the tax laws and many write offs went away.
How much income tax you pay, is a function of your balls, your tax accountants and the tax laws in place at the time.
I believe he is legally bound to keep at least $1 of it.
But did he deduct his long-johns?
