Ibram Kendi: ‘Too Many White People’ Believe They Can’t Be Racist if They Adopt Black Children (black children used as props)
Breitbart ^ | September 26 2020 | ROBERT KRAYCHIK

Ibram X. Kendi, director of Boston University’s Center for Antiracist Research, wrote on Saturday that white people who adopt black children may be “racist,” joining a growing group of Democrats and leftists commenting on Judge Amy Coney Barrett’s Haitian son and daughter.

Kendi wrote on social media: “Some White colonizers ‘adopted” Black children. They ‘civilized’ these ‘savage’ children in the ‘superior’ ways of White people, while using them as props in their lifelong pictures of denial, while cutting the biological parents of these children out of the picture of humanity.”

“And whether this is Barrett or not is not the point,” he continued. “It is a belief too many White people have: if they have or adopt a child of color, then they can’t be racist.”

The hypocritical hollywood pukes do it all the time and get away with it this makes it difficult for people who really care and want to do some good and give a kid a chance in life. Stupid statements have some meaning behind it but they are to blinded by color and victimization to realize this

I can see the dem senate having nowhere to go with this. The republicans have the votes, the Trump haters have no leverage there. If the Dems sling mud at this woman with lies and propaganda, dragging her family into it, just to delegitimize her it could backfire. She marched up to the podium, kids in tow, saying, “bring it on.” They’d be going after Wonder Woman.

They’d look very weak pulling another Kavanaugh and losing again. She’s getting confirmed.

I can see this going through quickly.

Too many black people have been convinced its impossible for them to be racist, by radical leftist democrats over the years.

Too many black people try to make a career out of being thin-skinned jerks.

Lots of us don’t give a damn when professional grievance collectors call us racists... See tag.

to many people think that there is no free agency and that racism is not a choice one makes on how they treat others.

Who are the racists? Those who adopt children, or those who see black children?

Thanks all for sharing your real life experiences.

In the 1960s, I remember the expression - “Don’t judge another man until you have walked in his shoes.” was popular where I was growing up. Prejudice, bigotry, racism is a defect, a sin of being human and my expectation is that it will always be here as long as there are humans. While we strive to learn from our history and find a “color-blind” society, that won’t happen in my lifetime. Among my friends and colleagues their skin color is part of their identity, which has been developed over 50 years when things used to be more segregated. One of my friends told me about parts of our town where he wasn’t allowed to go, or where his family had to use separate entrances, etc. Despite the passage of time, there was still pain in his heart which was formative to who he is, his identity formed based on the color of his skin. Talking to him about a color blind society might mean something different. But this friend of high character, does not impute blame or vicarious liability on others unconnected to the perpetrators, who are long gone.

I have also encountered blacks who are prejudice and blame whites vicariously and/or “the system.” They have been taught and reinforced with a truly un-American, really non-Christian value - assigning guilt, blame, liability to people based on the color of their skin who had nothing to do with the injustice. This blaming classes of others goes across all races. What is making this more insidious today is that we have a generation of young people, whom the left has indoctrinated via “education” to hate this country, using leftist race theory as part of this effort anti-Americanism (which includes, class, gender etc as well). This has caused some whites, especially the privileged (so-called educated) to wrongly accept the blame for others in past and present history and demand it be imposed on all white people. This of course reinforces some of the black race hustlers like Sharpton, et al.

This professor is expected to know better than to make such racist comments, but he is most likely a product of leftism where his prejudices and bigotry have been planted and nurtured. He doesn’t see it that way because he lives in a leftist bubble and society where he is truly ignorant of how others live, struggle and succeed - of all races in America. But if he made that statement based on actual observation, I would not be totally surprised as he would have observed it within his own social sphere. For I have also encountered white leftists who use “tokenism” (”I have a friend who is black....”) to “prove they are not prejudice” while assigning racism to whites in general. Perhaps it is these types who went out to adopt a black child that he is talking about. He and they vote for the same racist candidates who have the same racist thinking. I am glad they say such things, so as a minimum we know who they are among us. Pray for them.

People don’t resent others due to skin color—they resent anyone with bad behavior.

Too many black people think they can say anything hateful, bigoted and prejudice against an entire race and think their skin color give immunity to being a flatout racist.

Booker T was a great American and he should be included in American history classes. There is a national monument in southern VA where he grew up and became free. It is a beautiful, very peaceful special place for me. It is also quite American that he is remembered by many still, and nearly all do not remember the name of his slave owners. An example of “historical justice” - the slave became a greater figure than his masters.
