I thought the Amish, like Mennonites, didnt vote.
I believe it depends on the rules of the individual enclave (? I’m sure I’m not using the correct word there) but I suspect for those that do, President Trump’s bringing troops home as well as signing peace treaties are a big plus.
I did find this article about Amish and voting back in 2016: https://www.timesgazette.com/news/11592/amish-helped-trump-win
I thought so too, but apparently in the last election they decided they needed to.
I guess even they see God drawing the line in the sand and know which side to choose.
Every vote helps.
The Mennonites I have known throughout my life have always voted.
Lee Atwater saw them as potential Republican voters and encouraged them to vote in the early 90s.
They vote. For the first time ever I’m seeing political signs in their yards in western PA. They’re for Trump.
Where did you get that idea?
Have you every talked with an Amish person?
Most are very engaged and all most everyone is very conservative.
Wonderful craftsman and they produce the absolute best hand made cherry wood furniture.
I bought a special order roll-top cherry wood desk from the Amish, 20 years ago, and it gets more beautiful as the wood ages.
They love Trump.
“I thought the Amish, like Mennonites, didnt vote.”
They vote. They just don’t drive cars to the polling places. GOP volunteers often drive the Amish to where they vote. I understand that was a big deal in 2016.
We attended a Trump rally in Southern PA in 2016. There were quite a few Amish folks there.
Someone should tweet this video to Trump’s Twitter feed. It is neat!
They didn’t but they can SEE the difference and it’s important to them.
God vs NO GOD
Babies vs ABORTION
Peace vs WARS
feel free to add to the list
Neither of them don’t vote. Amish and Mennonites delivered Pennsylvania to Trump in 2016
