Agreed

And please folks, even in a state where he likely stands No chance of winning, please vote.

I’m getting mom and two elderly aunts to the polls because optics is a lot these days and let’s not give them the “he didn’t win the popular vote!” meme.

Even though there is no such thing is the “popular vote” in a POTUS election in a republic.

Made all the harder by the blatant greed of our political class. Sure, our politicians will wax indignant about the Chinese and the virus and insist that the supply chain for antibiotics be restored to America but what will they have to say about returning the industrial might of America?

Will Joe Biden whose son walked away with $1.5 billion play money? Will Mitch McConnell whose wife's family is part of the biggest Chinese shipping firm in the world? Will Dianne Feinstein whose husband has made tens if not hundreds of millions in China and who chauffeur was an acknowledged Chinese spy? Will Nancy Pelosi whose made undisclosed millions from China?

What national figure, other than Donald Trump and the likes of Tom Cotton, will lead the crusade to extricate America from the tentacles enveloping us from China?

What national institution? The universities with their Confucius ATM machines? Goldman Sachs? The Chamber of Commerce that has been forthright for sellout? The NBA, whose hypocrisy has reached cosmic levels? Hollywood media, where China blatantly censors American movies? Google or the rest of Silicon Valley, a place that has long turned blind eyes to Chinese gulags and, worse, provided the technology to empower them?

Will there be patriots who will protect the country even as they see their rice bowls broken?

As you point out, if Trump is not elected it is game over. If he is elected we have 4 years and then the deluge unless America produces yet another hero to become the man for our season.

Please explain why Trump was welcomed in India more enthusiastically more than in any other country? Last time I checked, Trump is white.

Another great post. Just much more depressing...because it’s true.

Since 2000, I believe TRILLIONS have been stolen from us.

First those 2 war debacles and all along the many in bed with China.

Clinton sold us to China...and China has been paying off the right people for decades.

We’re in a lot of trouble, whether or not Trump wins..but at least we have a fighting chance with Trump...maybe the son can rise up by 2024.

The word “Racist” is used mainly by people who have inferiority complex and know they are inferior, and they make excuses for their inferiority by using racism as the reason.

"There were no white slaves."

The Irish were referred to as "indentured servants", so yes, that's a true statement, there were no white slaves.

and there are other sources !

Regarding indentured servitude: When the median age of death was about 40. An indenture was a large chunk of your live. Also your indenture could be extended for a whole host of offenses. It didn’t talke much for an indenture to be servitude for life.

Also chattel slavery on the colonies didn’t start out as chattel slavery. It was done by a court order of an indenture contract that the contract holder didn’t want to terminate. See Anthony Johnson & the Castor lawsuit

Anthony Johnsonwas black!

China’s population is aging rapidly, and their life expectancy is not as long as ours. Who’s going to fight for them? For what?

Actually there were quite a few Irish slaves. Unfortunately they are white and do not fit into the Communist narratives.
History has a way of being rewritten, and not studied.

Do you really think in the 21st and 22nd centuries that the security or even the power of a nation will be determined by the bulk size of its population?

Everyone since Kissinger has remarked on the “long view” of the Chinese strategists. But history shows that in The long run, totalitarian states cannot endure. The USSR was the most successfully coordinated totalitarian entity in history and it imploded after 75 years. CCP is just about at that benchmark now.

China has certainly been -persistently aggressive since the sellout days of the 1990s and early 2000s, but the real game changer has been Trump’s junking of the imbecilic State Department approach and fighting back in Protecting America’s interest.

We may well see a Trump Gold Standard whereby we the USA and World Bankers in tow, freeze the old National Currencies, and reissue our money. In the late 90’s/early 2000’s there was much talk an “American Dollar” being used from Brazil/Argentina to Canada and Trade Zone. It seems the Chinese are fortifying their Trade Zones for a realignment of THE CURRENCY Realignment and Regional Trade Zones inseade of a prelude to War being the alternative sold to the American/World Public.

I foresee the Fed Res Bank and World Bank accepting a Trump Gold Standard and possibly a new USA Dollar Currency pegged at a different rate - Gold my go t $3500 an ounce.... play on the old Roosevelt $35 Gold ounce.

If a currency re-roll happens, old debt may actually be cancelled or paid in a diluted less valuable American dollar.

It would be cute to also have a Silver Standard US Currency beside the US Dollar that could be used as a freely traded medium South of the Border that more closely aligns to their currency currencies value or in recognition that S. American peoples have much less monies or currency in their possession/buying power.

Hell, Trump could even issue an American Trade Dollar for use outside the USA further reducing the effects of trade wars and regional currency exchanges.

Damn, my mind is in overdrive.

Screw the ChiComs into accepting unequal financial trade repayment terms at about 10 cents on the dollar (Silver edition since they don’t deserve World Trade Status and the Am International Dollar for trade outside the US Boarders).

Ameri;ca will be on the Gold Standard... Chicoms get the Silzer Winnie .

In today's postmodern age in which intersection analogy has replaced the virtues of the Enlightenment as our standard against we measure nations, cultures, institutions we must be doubly careful not to apply contemporary assumptions to situations centuries ago. We forget as we live in an age of unbelievable abundance in a culture that can afford to cancel not only logic and decency but goods and food at an incredible scale. Such abundance has never been the historical reality.

In Germany I live in a house that was built in 1829 which housed Knechte and Maegde , servants male and female, who worked for no wages but food and housing and a suit of clothes every spring. The poverty was universal. It partially explains why there was such a wave of German immigrants to the United States.

If one is familiar with the unbelievable poverty of the Irish even before the great famine of 1847, one understands that to be an indentured servant in America was a blessed relief from the unbelievable horror of the peasants' life in Ireland.

The point of indentured servitude, whether in Germany, in colonial America or elsewhere is that it grew out of a stark reality about which we are likely today to be oblivious: Scarcity.

These were not societies of abundance or even where there was enough to go around rather these were societies in which parents have to give their children a way to indentured servitude simply to keep them alive, which was the case in the very house in which I live here in Germany.

To pass judgment by today's standards on a different world, as we now are doing today concerning the Confederacy for example, is to play politics with history. Our ancestors are dead and past deceiving, but there is no need to deceive ourselves. In our brave new postmodern world in which abundance permits Weltanschauung of such lunacy as intersectionality, we have deceived ourselves enough already.

The fact is US began as a racist country with practice of slavery of the negro race. There were no white slaves.

Where in the world, in 1619, was slavery not practiced?

There were, in 1619, white people in the same legal status as blacks in the territory which would later become the United States. Slavery of blacks v. other races was not legally ensconced in some colonies until about 30 years later.

Slavery was practiced regularly by the various tribes which existed in North and South America, long before European immigrants arrived.
