Welcome to reality!

However, if they owned homes, they will be able to still cash out pretty big. About 15 years ago, my realtor was telling me about a young couple in the their mid-30’s moving out of CA and they were looking for a 4BR with a basement where I live. They had 300K CASH from the sale of their Calif. starter home. At that time, 300K here would get you a very nice house - especially if you were 35 years old and had a home with NO MORTGAGE.
