I’m also in a collar suburb and agree with your observations. We are surrounded by virtue signalling yard signs and women who walk in lockstep. They think of themselves as educated and intellectual because they are well informed via the propaganda pipeline. They parrot talking points and go to church-sponsored seminars on white privilege. It can be a lonely place for conservative women. Voting D is a deep part of their identities and many of them equate it with women’s rights. There is also a big alignment of D voting with ‘a woman’s right to choose’ as it’s so euphemistically stated. Unfortunately, many of them drag their husbands along like errant children.
