Those two statements conflict with each other. One cannot 'not know anything' about a thing, and at the same time say about that thing that you know something 'other than (fill in the blank)' about that thing. The second statement cancels out the first. Trump DOES know something about it.
And after having said he didn't 'know much' about that thing. Said twice. Not knowing 'much' means that you know 'some'.
