Gore: Trump ‘Putting His Knee on the Neck of American Democracy’ by Tampering with Postal Service
Breitbart ^ | 08/17/2020 | Pam Key

Sunday on CNN, former Vice President Al Gore accused President Donald Trump of “putting his knee on the neck of American democracy” with his appointee Postmaster General Louis DeJoy’s overhaul of the U.S. Postal Service.

Gore said, “On the postal service if I could say what I wanted to say about that, think he’s kind of panicked that the announcement of Kamala Harris went off — it was 10 out of 10. It was amazing. And he went to that stupid, ridiculous false birther thing right away and had to take it back. And post office, this is an act of desperation, in pandemic, voters of all ages with preexisting conditions worried they can’t breathe safely standing in line to work. In effect, by tampering with the post office, he’s putting his knee on the neck of American democracy and trying to make it impossible for people to vote by mail. And they may react the way they did in Wisconsin when the governor there tried to do a similar thing, and it made people mad. I think this Democratic ticket is going to be showcased this week in a spectacular way.”

That was the end of Senior’s political career (and Presidential aspirations) at the next election, whereupon he decided that it was young Al’s calling, indeed obligation, to fulfill his legacy by becoming President.

When Gore made his ludicrous claim of being the inspiration for the novel “Love Story”, the author countered that, no, Al was inspiration for another character in the novel...a Senator’s son who was completely dominated by his father.

That's your duty. Duty was a big deal when our Nation began.

Look at the lines on Black Friday. And look what happens when a new NIKE sneaker comes around.

What we should do is make Friday, Saturday and Sunday of the first week in November voting days. No reason people should have to take off work.

How exactly is Trump tampering with the postal service? Under Barry/Bozo thousands of matter boxes were removed and no one said boo. Is it because Trump said he was against extra funding to pay for mail in voting? So what, no President has the power of the purse.

I agree with what you said BUT I’ve been studying about the line above.......would you really want our votes hanging around for 3 days in who knows who’s possession? Like fish, it would prolly start stinking big time by the 3rd day.....snort

You need guards and cameras on the ballots and working personel.....24/7. And you need secure vaults...not these cardboard box setups.

For electronic voting...you need a receipt...with a number. I'm not happy when someone says...okay you're done. It's like....prove it.

I can’t argue anything you said......if I remember correctly didn’t a precinct judge carry boxes of votes around in the trunk of their car for days? I can’t remember which campaign but there’s no telling how often that happened.......

Fat Albert should have stayed in his kitchen and just STFU. He’s about 19 3/4 years past his expiration date, and no one on the planet wants to hear from him. Go away, Al.

I had to go to the post office today. Talk about phlegmatic employees, they make those at the DMV look like the Flash in comparison. It’s pathetic, if FedEx and UPS stores worked at that pace they would be out of business.

I think you mean Tipper. Don’t you remember those 2 were the original inspiration for the 1970 Ryan O’Neal/Ali MacGraw movie “Love Story”?
