Not ended, but they certainly should be the exceptions rather than the rule. They are appropriate for a known violent suspects or for where evidence could be quickly and easily destroyed. But they should be an exception.

Plus get rid of civil forfeiture, and require a conviction before permanently taking property.

The ONLY justification for a no-knock raid is a hostage situation.

If there is evidence destroyed, that’s too bad. If the cops can’t make a case without “no-knock” raids, thereby endangering the public THEY SERVE, they are incompetent and should get jobs as mall cops.

Ended. Allowing them to continue on any level is just moving the ball up slope temporarily. When they were first approved by the courts they were supposed to be rare, only in cases of extreme expected danger to the officers. 30 odd years later here we are. They gotta end.
