I think you need to rethink on China. The Cultural Revolution was about destroying everything China and placing the CCP over all. Do not be fooled by their “market” economy, or their billionaires; the CCP is still in control.
Communists have always been set against their own nations. How else do you explain the genocide? Communists have killed more of their own people than the rest of history combined. I see no difference at all.
All communists are young—they have to be—only those secure in their adolescent narcissism can have the absolute faith in their cause. They are baby-killers; not in the traditional sense; but, killers who are babies.
You can’t reason with babies; babies require discipline to learn, and it’s obvious these have never received any.
The genocides weren’t about the extermination of their own people. China has been a mass murdering totalitarian system for thousands of years. They still weren’t trying to eliminate their own people but it probably didn’t bother them much when mass starvation was the result of their 5 year plans.
The cultural revolution had young people turning on their older relatives (This happened in Russia and Germany as well). This isn’t the same as eliminating all things China (although the propaganda suggested it was). After Nixon, I recall how surprised academics were that almost all the Chinese historical sites were not only still in existance but well preserved. This many years later, it’s no surprise. The Chinese turn out to be so in love with themselves that they have some really racist ideas about other humans.
I agree with your “baby killers” comment. The problem is that this is the sort willing to rush to the fight. IMO when one side fights for leftism and the other side is simply defending their pile of stuff, leftism wins.
